Other reports suggested that at any one time almost 10million people were planning a DIY project within the next 2 months. So you can see that the DIY marketplace is huge and it's expected to grow by almost 20% over the five years to 2008. Why is DIY so popular in the UK?
Many experts agreee that the increasing burden of stamp duty is putting many people off from moving. Just to move home from one £300,000 house to another would cost £9000 in stamp duty - enough money to fund a very nice kitchen and/or bathroom improvement project.

In the morning, you can eliminate that lethargic feeling! why not freshen up with an invigorating power shower with pulsator or massage water settings to put you in a positive frame of mind.
After a hard days work, you can wallow and soak in a luxurious warm bath of bubbles. BUT................... If your bathroom is dark and dingy, it's not really going to encourage you make the most of this rooms potential.

A Power shower either over your bath, or even better a dedicated enclosure.
Have you thought about installing a wet room floor? No need for doors, just walk in! Have a ceiling shower drencher or side body jets.
Now imagine using that tranquil space all to yourself..............
And don't forget it's not normally money wasted. It should certainly add value to your property!
To sum up!
If you spend £6,000 on your windows, the person who's benefitting the most is the guy across the road, who can see them. The kitchen is top on the home improvement list, but don't forget it's still a working enviroment. The Landscaped garden and/or drive will not be much to look at the dark winter months.
If you've got to choose one project..........we say make it the bathroom. Yes you might be even more stressed borrowing that extra money, but at least you will forget that for 30 minutes.... or even longer if you remember the wine and candles. But to be fair..............we maybe slighty biased.
